The world only exists while you're looking at it.

Your light builds the map as you walk. Anything you stop seeing forgets itself and regrows differently.
Ghosts only move while unseen. Pick up snowflakes, then click or tap a ghost in your light to freeze it. Walk into a frozen ghost to shatter it for gold.
Stand still for five seconds and your light blinks, giving every ghost a free step.
Find the green door. Spend gold at the shrine between levels.
Keep an eye out for a pumpkin.
